I have been noticing this term “kibbles” used pretty frequently.
I know it’s for dog pellets, but now it seems like it’s some “high class” word to use for some thing so simple – dog pellets.
I thought i was backward, and even got suspicious and also question myself if i might be using the wrong word all these years?!
I also thought this to myself sliently, “Pellets? For rabbits meh?”
Justina also got same thoughts as me. I haven’t tell her i also got the same thoughts as her!
But this question pop up cos i have been hearing “kibbles” often.
Then i went to find out more on these 2 term — pellets, kibbles.
Pellets :
1) A small, solid or densely packed ball or mass, as of food, wax, or medicine.
2)
a) A bullet or piece of small shot.
b) A stone ball, used as a catapult missile or a primitive cannonball.
Kibbles :
To crush or grind (grain, for example) coarsely.
n.
Meal ground by this process and used in the form of pellets especially for pet food.
Ok, so i was on the right track all these years. Not too backwards afterall.
Pellets was a right term. It is anything that is made of small, solid or densely packed ball or mass of food.
I heard of kibbles of course. But didn’t use it. Not that i am suaku or refuse to accept it.
Because some 8 years ago before i got brownie, “pellets” was the word for rabbit food, dog food, guinea pig food, and even hamster food.
Even the vet i went to, recommended me to “feed dog pellets”.
Pet shops i patronize, even ask me “what dog pellets are you feeding?”, or “… recommend this dog pellets to you.”.
So pellets aren’t just for rabbits, ok? LOL~!
It is anything that is made of small, solid or densely packed ball or mass of food.
