West Coast Dog Run – Attacked.

Once I was at west coast dog run.

We were sitting on the grass. Our chh was just trying to explore nearby with 2 corgis, maltese, MS, and other small dogs.

Then suddenly a german sheperd came running pass and just decided to take note of our chh. Sniffed our dog. We were sitting down still. Thinking it might be some getting to know each other sniffing. Then it became very persistant in sniffing and got rough. Used it’s paw to press our chh down. It’s mouth already managed to bite our chh flesh. But our chh managed to twist and turn it’s way out. Our chh jumped onto my husband’s arms for protection. My husband quickly stood up, carrying our chh in the arms, to prevent any mishap. I tell you, all these happened in seconds! We also shouted out for the owner though we have no idea where or who he/she is.

The owner of german shepherd, standing quite far away, shouted at his dog to stop from a distance. But his dog didn’t listen. So he quickly ran to grab his dog, and dragged it away.

We sat down again. Put our chh down, in a blink of an eye, the same german shepherd came charging at our chh. My husband quickly grab our chh and brought it up high up in the sky. The german shepherd stood up, with 2 paws on my husband’s chest! Even growled. Then the mouth gestured biting motions. Again, we shouted out for it’s owner.

The owner tried to shout at it from a distance again. But to no avail. He came running, standing quite far away again. Grabbed the dog by the neck. Then told my husband loudly not to carry our chh up. Ask him to put it down.

The dog owners around us were terrified and some already took their dogs away.

Really, it’s natural reaction to bring our dog up in the air. It’s already a good thing my husband didn’t run. Just stood there and bring up our dog. My husband said, if the german shepherd decides to bite him, at least he won’t die. But if bite our chh, it is a sure gone case.

Certainly it makes no sense to put our chh down, to take any further risk.

We decided to find another spot to rest. But this time, my husband is on the lookout for that shepherd. Amazingly, we DO recognise that german shepherd from the rest of shepherds.

Once the dog is near our chh, we were ready to carry it up, since our chh don’t explore far.
